How often will a case manager meet with me?

Meetings with your case manager are arranged on an individual basis. Typically, meetings are scheduled for about once/week, and can be more or less frequent based on the goals and needs of the person receiving support.

How much is the rent for your housing Program?

All of our housing units are designated as "affordable", which means that the monthly rent that each person pays will not exceed 30% of their guaranteed monthly income. Most of our units also include utilities costs built into the monthly rental fee.

How long are people allowed to use your services?

Housing Program - no time limit (while qualified)

Community Support Program - Services are provided until such time as there are no identifiable case management needs

Mental Health Court Support Services - Services are provided short-term during the Diversion period. Should an individual require long-term case management, the Court Support Case Manager would assist with a referral to the Community Support Program.

How will I know which of the local mental health services are right for me?

Feel free to contact each of the mental health services and ask questions regarding their programs. In any case, when you apply to one of the local services, an intake assessment will assist at ensuring that all of an individual's support needs are being met. Should a particular service provider not be able to address a required service, a referral would be made to the appropriate program with the individual's consent.

I don't have a car - do I have to meet with a case manager at your office?

No. The Community Support Program is community based, and meetings can be arranged at mutually agreed upon locations (often the individual's home). Note, however, that for an initial appointment, meeting at the ENSH Inc. office may be required.

Do you provide rides for people without cars?

Case Managers will assist in finding transportation to/from medical and other appointments related to an individual's treatment and support plan. If a case manager is attending an appointment with an individual, a ride is often provided.

Will you help clean my home or apartment?

Case Managers will assist an individual in developing independence at keeping their living environment clean. Assistance with cleaning is only provided if it is deemed beneficial to increasing an individual's ability to do these tasks independently. Cleaning assistance by case managers is not done on a long-term basis. If long term assistance is required, then the person would need to hire cleaning personnel independently, or see their doctor should they have physical disabilities limiting their ability to complete these necessary tasks.

I am having trouble with another agency - can you talk to them and fix the situation?

If eligible for, and receiving, ENSH Inc. services, case managers will assist an individual in developing an effective plan to address the issue. This may, at times, involve a case manager speaking with other agencies to assist in resolving the disagreement. However, there can be no guarantee of "fixing" the situation, as that is ultimately the responsibility of the person and the agency in question.
