WHO ARE WE?

 


The Canadian Mental Health Association is a national, non-profit charitable organization consisting of provincial associations that are further divided into branches.

The Haldimand-Norfolk Branch is managed by a Board of Directors made up of community volunteers. Funding is provided by the United Way and fundraised money.



OUR MISSION

 


To provide community-based services responsive to the needs of those with mental health problems, their family members and the general community. Services are aimed at educating the community about mental health issues; empowering those experiencing mental health problems to overcome the difficulties they face and advocating for adequate and appropriate mental health services in the Haldimand-Norfolk area.



WHO WE SERVE

 


People of all ages living and/or working in Haldimand-Norfolk. Direct service programs service adults over 16.

Family Initiatives Project - Executive Summary


NOTICE

 

Family Allies Support Group: Family Education Program.

If you would be interested in attending a Support and Education Group for Loved Ones and Friends of People Experiencing a Mental Illness, please plan to attend.
These meetings offer information and sharing of experiences with the
Family and Friends of those suffering from mental illnesses.

All meetings are held on the last Monday of the Month from 7-9 p.m.
at the Resource Centre, 50 Orchard Avenue, Simcoe
(just off West St. across from the hospital).

Legal Issues
Programs Available in Haldimand-Norfolk for the treatment of Mental Illness, and Medications
Schizophrenia
Depressive Illness (or Mood Disorders)
OCD and Anxiety
Managing Shame and Stigma
Crisis Management/Communicating with the Mentally Ill
Wrap Up/Caring for the Caregiver
