AMHS is a multi-disciplinary agency providing community based client focused mental health care and services to adults with serious mental health illnesses. Services include: Assessment, Consultation, Treatment, Education, Support, & Advocacy.


Housing & Housing Support Programs

ENSH Inc. provides affordable housing units in Haldimand & Norfolk Counties for people with a psychiatric illness.


Case Management Programs

ENSH inc. Programs operates a client-centred community case management program. The team helps people with psychiatric illnesses to stay out of hospital, or reduce the time spent in hospital, by providing support tailored to the individual's needs.


Vocational Rehabilitation Programs

Abel Enterprises provides non-clinical work and work-skills training opportunities for people with a serious mental illness.  Abel offers the opportunity to develop your own small business, trade level skills in carpentry and custom made furniture, access to a collective marketing system and part time employment that pays above minimum wage.


Social Recreational Programs

“A program developed and run by Consumers/Survivors”.  The Centre is a safe, friendly place where people can come for a visit, have a coffee, and/or participate in the programs being offered.


Crisis Response Programs

CAST - Crisis Assessment and Support Team. A program staffed by registered nurses with extensive mental health experience. The goal of CAST is to provide crisis services to individuals 16 years of age and older with mental health concerns. CAST is located at all three area hospitals in the two counties. Most initial visits and assessments are done at the emergency rooms of the hospitals. Generally, some follow-up support is provided to people who use the CAST services at the hospitals. CAST is available to people through a 24 hour crisis line. Toll free call 1-866-487-2278.


Assertive Community Treatment Programs

ACTT is a program developed to organize and deliver specialized and integrated community-based mental health services to persons with severe and persistent mental illness.  ACTT multi-disciplinary team members consist of a Psychiatrist, Registered Nurses, and a Social Worker.


Other Mental Health Programs

CMHA provides community based education and information services that are responsive to the needs of those with mental health problems, their family members and the general community.

True Experience is an adult community mental health program that provides housing and work skills training to people with psychiatric illness.
